AIT to celebrate 27th foundation day tomorrow – Times of India

PUNE: Army Institute of Technology (AIT) is all set to celebrate its 27th foundation day on Wednesday, February 24. Established in the year 1994, the prestigious institute boasts of very high ranking and outstanding student performance.

On the auspicious day, Dr. Raman Gangakhedkar, Indian epidemiologist & former Head Scientist of Epidemiology and Communicable Diseases at the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), will be conferred with Lifetime achievement award. Baljit Singh & Mr. Pravin Prakash, Co-Founders of ‘mTatva’ and ‘Symbo.ai and alumni of Army Institute of Technology (AIT), Pune, will be honored with the Successful Entrepreneur award. Dr. Nitin Karmalkar, Vice-Chancellor of Savitribai Phule Pune University will be the chief guest on the occasion. The program will be conducted in a hybrid mode (online and offline both) at AIT Campus Dighi, Pune campus.

Director of AIT, Brig. Abhay Bhat said, “Dr Gangakhedkar is a distinguished Indian scientist. He served as Head Scientist of Epidemiology and Communicable Diseases at the Indian Council of Medical Research. He is also a recipient of the 2020 Padma Shri award, the fourth highest civilian award in India. ‘m-Tatva’ and ‘Symbo.ai’ are the enterprises, which were started by our alumni and are contributing to platforms enhancing Medicare to people of India.”
